The compact standard redefined

If you need a compact inverter that makes your work easier and, at the same time, keeps your control system options open, our MOVITRAC® advanced is exactly the right choice.

Designed and developed as a compact all-rounder, MOVITRAC® advanced can control and monitor synchronous and asynchronous AC motors with or without an encoder, asynchronous motors with LSPM technology, and both synchronous and asynchronous linear motors. What's more, it benefits from a wide power range of 0.25 to 315 kW and an overload capacity of 150%.

MOVITRAC® advanced is flexible thanks to its integrated communication interfacefor connection to all standard control systems. Connection is possible via PROFINET, EtherNet/IPTM, EtherCAT®/SBusPLUS, Modbus TCP, EtherCAT® CiA402 or POWERLINK CiA402. You can also configure functional safety with MOVITRAC® advanced – from the integrated STO safety function to higher-level safety functions and safe communication.

MOVITRAC® advanced is ideal for materials handling and motion applications such as conveyor belts, hoists and palletizers, making it a true compact all-rounder.

Topologies

From control technology to inverters and drives, whether centralized or decentralized, there are no language barriers with any of the components from the MOVI-C® modular automation system.

Plan the design of your machines or systems with a single control, communication or installation topology. Our hardware and software will slot seamlessly into place and simply get things moving.

Even when it comes to communication know-how, the standard solution has no limitations. Whatever control or communication topology you specify, MOVITRAC® will have the necessary interface built and make light work of controlling the motor assigned to it.

MOVIKIT® software modules

MOVIKIT® software modules can be used in conjunction with MOVITRAC® advanced. The "Drive" category includes MOVIKIT® software modules that are operated directly on the inverter from the MOVI-C® modular automation system. These are connected directly to the higher-level controller and are controlled individually via the corresponding interface. Various applications can thus be implemented via convenient and fast configuration - without any programming knowledge. Depending on the requirements, extensive additional functions are available, such as distance-to-go positioning. MOVIKIT® software modules:

  • MOVIKIT® Velocity Drive: MOVIKIT® Velocity Drive allows you to use applications with velocity control and a standardized fieldbus interface.
  • MOVIKIT® RapidCreepPositioning Drive: MOVIKIT® RapidCreepPositioning Drive is a software module for implementing classic "rapid/creep speed positioning" without a motor encoder.
  • MOVIKIT® Positioning Drive: MOVIKIT® Positioning Drive enables positioning applications with a standardized fieldbus interface.

Single-cable technology for power supply and data transfer with digital encoder for synchronous and asynchronous motors

In fact, only one hybrid cable is required and installed here for the data connection between inverter and motor, and the MOVILINK® DDI digital data interface transfers the power, brake and diagnostic data to the motor.

Available options

  • Keypads
Various keypads with different functional scopes are available.
  • Memory module
All device data (parameter and configuration settings) is always stored on the memory module and is kept up to date. If a device needs to be replaced, the system can be started up again in next to no time without additional tools by simply removing the memory module from the old device and plugging it into the replacement.
  • Diagnostic module
The CDM11A diagnostic module creates the interface to the MOVISUITE®engineering software. The module also contains two 7-segment displays for displaying the device status. In addition, the module is required for use of the CBG11A, CBG21A and CBG22A keypads.
  • Mounting plates
Sub-mounting plates for sizes 0S and 0L, including pre-installed braking resistor – for space-saving mounting of braking resistors underneath the inverter. Shield plate extension – for space-saving mounting of e.g. SEW brake rectifiers or multi-level terminal blocks.
